Not the greatest of weather conditions for today’s competition, however some eager grommies were at the TRIC Mini Park to compete for some awesome prizes from DC, Bolle, Select, Streets, and TRIC. Once again these guys and girls put a lot of older riders to shame with some killer tricks and plenty of style. Photos below with more on Facebook and full results can be found here.
Here are the overall results for the Freeski & Snowboard junior series held at Mt Hutt on 18th August…
On 2nd Sept Mt Hutt held the 2nd part of the two part mini shred series. Despite the weather not being favourable and almost blowing some competitors away, we had a strong turnout of very talented young skiers and boarders.
Even with the weather not co-operating we still saw inverts and spins on the jumps and lots of stylish slides on the boxes and rails.
Huge thanks to TRIC, Bolle and DC for some awesome prizes which the kids were stoked on.
Bring on next years MINI SHRED!!!
It was a pretty overcast, windy, and cold day up at Remarks for the Big TRIC Weekender Slopestyle comp, however nearly 70 skiers and riders turned up to shred the Terrain Park.
Mt Hutt hosted their leg in the Freeski and Snowboard Junior Series. We saw a strong field of very talented riders throw down their bags of tricks in a Slopestyle through the big T.R.I.C park.
We watched a huge array of tricks with a casual 540 becoming standard and the top finishes throwing down corked 720′s and the odd 900.
Mt Hutt T.R.I.C. park is the new cafe of the mountain! We will be handing out sausages and swag in a mellow jam format comp.
The deal is if you throw some cool tricks we’ll shout your lunch for you!!
Come up enjoy and have some fun in the park.
Saturday 11th, 11:30 – 2:00
Parklife team rider Christy Prior pictured here floating a corked spin has made us proud with an awesome contest result this weekend, keep reppin Remarks!
So to recap on AJ’s introduction video, this is your chance to qualify for the Parklife Invitational Rail Jam happening on Saturday 25th August in downtown Queenstown. It’s one of the sickest events of the year so this is a massive opportunity for all you unknown skiers and riders to mix it with some big names.
Mt Hutt hosted their first Streets Mini Shred Competition of the season today.
With the weather playing ball and the park looking good all that was left were the young up and comers to throw down.
The judges and park crew were impressed with the level of riding demonstrated by everyone.
Some of the standouts were Tom Fisher with his underflip and 540 combo, Charlie Hay with his super clean slides on the down rail, Jacob Tapper-Norris with a giant lincoln loop and Fiona Brunton with some big 360′s on the jumps.
Big thanks to Streets, Tararua, TRIC, DC and Bolle.
